Amy Carraba, known locally for her Extreme Amy series on Fox5 News came out to cover the new Terra Drift Experience! It was exciting to be on the news and even more so by covered by a professional like Amy Carraba. Seeing her work was impressive as she's really on the ball and knows her stuff. These 14 guys just got their ass kicked by doing the "Vegas Mini-Baja Chase" at Sun Buggy Fun Rentals -Las Vegas Location! Chris, the guy in the red hat, has been promised to a bride and the gang is in Vegas to help him celebrate before he takes his Vows. While Sun Buggy Fun Rentals is a Very popular activity for bachelor parties in Las Vegas, we felt that these guys were a cut above. No-body got lost, or puked in their helmets (just so everyone knows, puked in helmets get retired). On day 2 of a bachelor party in Las Vegas and everyone in the group was still accounted for and not missing, which meant everyone showed up for the Vegas Mini-Baja Chase and had a great time.

New Mini-Baja Chase Fotage online

Last week a repeat client of ours strapped a race cam to his buggy and got some great in car footage of our Vegas Mini-Baja Chase . We've been running the Vegas Mini-Baja Chase 5 times a day/7 days a week between our recent coverage on the travel channel and all our repeat clients who come back to run the Mini-Baja Chase every time they're back in town. Enjoy the footage (caution, very large files which may not stream well from slower connections). In the meantime, we've stepped up production on our desert racers to ensure that everyone who wants a spin at this thrill ride will get a chance to do so.

AKA Rally Event on August 25th

AKA Rally Comes to Sun Buggy

Monday we hosted a Mini-Baja Chase and time trial for the AKA Rally which is to be shown on Speed Channel in October. Over 50 people showed up and although you'll see in the picture on the left that Rain Clouds are present, the downpour was done before we went out to the dunes which made for great conditions.

Having driven all the way from New York city in these high powered automobiles on public roads, getting into our buggies and driving over dunes and rocks was a dramatic change. Although a few in the group got a bit out of hand, loosing control and rolling their buggies, by far and large this group was very skilled and had a great time. Verve Energy Drink was on site with coolers full of ...energy soda, and we put out a spread of fruits, veggies, yogurt, and fried chicken.

Everyone was given a chance to prove themselves by going for the best lap time on our desert track, and also had a chance to chase one of our desert racing instructors for the Nellis Mini-Baja. One of the guys got off a chase and told me that he only needed 2 words the whole time he was chasing his instructor .."Oh sh!T!, Oh Sh!t!, Oh sh!t!" we do some fairly intense desert chases.

We couldn't help ourselves! The Valley of Fire is so beautiful we had to take and post more pictures (even though we're out there everyday anyhow). The Sun Buggy Fun Rentals Las Vegas Valley of Fire Adventure Tour is our most scenic offering and while the pictures look wonderful they really don't do justice to the massive scale of these rock formations. The best way to see the Valley of Fire just outside of Las Vegas is to take an off road tour right through the heart of it. By Far our most scenic adventure from our Las Vegas location is the Valley of Fire. Nevada's oldest state park is so named because the bright red sand and alien looking rock formations look like a fire burning in the desert. Our Valley of Fire adventure includes a free shuttle from anywhere in Las Vegas to the site, where we guide you deep into the park where on road tours cannot go. We provide ATV's, Rhino's, or our own custom fabricated dune buggies that seat 1, 2, 4, or even 5 people per buggy. The Valley of Fire is not about a High speed off road adventure, although other vendors might try to convince you otherwise, but more about just enjoying one of the most beautiful places on earth. PowWow 2008 a huge sucess

Hooray!!! We're going for a dune buggy adventure!!!

Our PowWow 2008 Demo Event for both Saturday and Sunday was a huge success with everyone in attendance being blown away by both the custom machines we put them in and the facilities and staff they were treated to. Pictured on the left is an attendee getting ready to go for a ride.

Each Day we brought a bus load of people from the travel industry to show them what an amazing thing happens right on the edge of town in the dunes when our clients go on a Mini-Baja adventure.

Thanks for everyone in attendance you were all great poeple to play host to for the day.

Our Booth at the show pictured to the right turned out nice. It's great having your own fabrication experts in house so when you feel like turning a dune buggy frame into a TV stand the wizards in the back make it happen.

Manning the booth is our Dune Buggy Overlord and Genius behind the whole Sun Buggy Fun Rentals empire, RJ. He's making a list and checking it twice! Response at the show was phenomenal keeping us busy as people scrambled to add Las Vegas Dune Buggy Adventures to their own travel offerings.

Out in the desert on the edge of town the buggies are prepped and awaiting the guests. Can you see the "PowWow TIA" Buggy?

Lots goes into a desert adventure before the adventure even begins, every day buggies are inspected, filters refreshed, and gone over with a wrench to tighten and retighten wheels and suspension pieces.

It's a huge process but that's what it takes to run "Sin Citys' Best Near Death Experience" all day every day, it's the world of custom off road machines!

Here's some pictures of our "Formula 1" Buggies under development!! Sun Buggy Fun Rentals in Las Vegas, Nevada

We've actually adjusted the suspension, alignment, gearing, tires, tire pressures, wheels, and engine tuning to set these cars up for the road course.

After trying the cars and making adjustments, they worked really good. These are a mid engine setup and as such are very nicely balanced and with the proper setup handled really well.

Renting the course for the day wasn't cheap but it gave us insights as to just how flexible these cars are. Although they normally run a brutal desert course over dunes, rocks, gravel and whatnot, running on the track was really fun. These are more than go carts, and handle more like real cars. with the gearing we setup most of the cars would top around 60 MPH but pulled real hard all the way there so we could have gone with a taller gearing yet. 60 MPH is enough to make your eyes water and enough that you had to slow down on the tighter curves.

If we book large groups we have this option available as an add-on to our desert adventure where we can split the group up and rotate from the road course to the desert course.
